Florida Cannabis Legalization Discussion on WJCT First Coast Connect Features Sally Peebles
Oct 24, 2024
Vicente LLP partner Sally Kent Peebles recently appeared on WJCT 89.9 News First Coast Connect, a radio show based in Florida, during a segment discussing the Sunshine State’s adult-use cannabis legalization initiative (Amendment 3) set to appear on Florida ballots this year.
Peebles expressed her support for adult-use cannabis legalization in Florida and pointed out that contrary to decriminalizing cannabis, full legalization would ensure the regulation and safety of the products by providing cannabis use education opportunities, testing, and packaging requirements “so people know what they’re using.”
The discussion also featured two other guests alongside Sally who debated their viewpoints on the pros and cons of cannabis legalization in Florida and nationally.
