[Webinar] Cannabis Reform During the Coronavirus Crisis

May 15, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted virtually every aspect of our society, and cannabis policy reform efforts are no exception. Prior to the crisis, several states appeared poised to enact legalization and medical cannabis laws through ballot measures or their legislatures. But the landscape has shifted dramatically: Reformers and lawmakers are facing tough decisions about how and when they can move forward, while state and local regulators are evaluating new ways to ensure consumers can safely access essential cannabis products. With so much in flux, many reform supporters are wondering what's next — and what can they do to help.

Watch the replay of Vicente Sederberg LLP and the Marijuana Policy Project discussing how the COVID-19 crisis is impacting state and local reform efforts.

VS has been supporting cannabis activism since we opened our doors over 10 years ago, and we were proud to co-host this webinar with such an exceptional advocacy organization. MPP has been at the forefront of state-level reform for more than two decades, and it is playing a key role in many of the initiative and legislative efforts taking place around the country.

Topics covered include:

  • Initiative Campaigns: Which measures will be on 2020 ballots and which ones are on hold?
  • Legislative Efforts: Which cannabis bills are still in play and what is the outlook for 2020?
  • Regulatory Matters: What has changed due to the pandemic and will it have lasting effects?
