The University of Minnesota’s 2024 Public Health Institute features Vicente LLP attorney Jason Tarasek in a panel focused on the future of cannabis in public health.

“In the Weeds: The Regulatory History and Future of Cannabis in Public Health” will be held on May 21 and focuses on the current state of policy and regulatory oversight of cannabis in the United States through a lens of potential public health hazards and risks. Students will learn about the current and emerging regulatory systems in states that have legalized cannabis, as well as the federal government’s recent legalization of industrial hemp, and will have the opportunity to conduct case studies into a specific topic of interest.
