[Live Session] Support Mississippians for Compassionate Care

Sep 2, 2020

Moderated by Brian Vicente, this 45-minute fireside chat will educate viewers on the Mississippi ballot initiative campaign to make medical marijuana available to patients suffering from debilitating medical conditions in Mississippi through their physicians.

More than 228,000 Mississippians signed petitions to qualify INITIATIVE 65 for the November 3, 2020 general election ballot. INITIATIVE 65 provides a specific list of 22 qualifying debilitating medical conditions, including cancer, epilepsy, chronic pain, and PTSD. It sets up a safe, secure, and regulated medical marijuana program with clear funding, oversight, and accountability as soon as voters approve it.

Join us to hear about Mississippi’s efforts to help patients, the hurdles they’ve overcome to qualify INITIATIVE 65, and their latest challenge: the competing alternative measure, Alternative 65A, placed on the ballot by the Mississippi Legislature right after INITIATIVE 65 qualified.

Topics of discussion include:

  • How Mississippi patients who suffer from debilitating medical conditions will benefit from a regulated medical marijuana program
  • Business opportunities in the Magnolia State
  • The differences between INITIATIVE 65 and the Mississippi Legislature’s Alternative 65A
