Sally Kent Peebles Elected Co-Chair of Florida Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee

Congratulations to Vicente Sederberg partner Sally Kent Peebles for being elected co-chair of the Florida Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee!

Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Nikki Fried formed the committee in June 2019 to “work through ways to expand patient access, increase innovation and technology in the industry, and make recommendations to the Legislature and the Department of Health’s Office of Medical Marijuana Use to improve Florida’s medical marijuana policies and programs.” The committee works with Florida Director of Cannabis Holly Bell and meets bi-monthly to discuss patient, business, and policy issues related to medical cannabis.

Sally co-chairs the committee with Zachary Kobrin of Akerman LLP and is proud to be working with such an impressive group of cannabis industry individuals.

Since moving back to her home state, Sally has quickly become a leading voice on cannabis law and policy in Florida, and Folio Weekly magazine included her in its "Best of Jax" 2018, 2019, and 2020 lists of the "Best Marijuana Lawyers" and she was named to the Florida Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.
