Sally Kent Peebles Discusses Florida Cannabis on 'First Coast Connect' with Melissa Ross

Sep 21, 2020

Four years after Florida voters approved the legalization of medical marijuana, edibles have been approved. VS Jacksonville attorney and Florida Medical Cannabis Advisory Committee co-chair Sally Kent Peebles recently discussed that topic, along with Florida's cannabis industry as a whole, and the role marijuana could play in the upcoming election with WJCT Public Media.

During the program, calls and tweets came in on topics such as: bipartisan support of decriminalization, potential cannabis tax revenues, cannabis vertical integration in Florida, the high cost of medical marijuana for patients in Florida, and the argument for legalizing home cultivation.

Florida Medical Marijuana Edibles

Now that Florida rules for medical marijuana edibles have finally been released, Florida patients can expect edibles to hit the shelves soon. Patients will need to get this route of administration approved by their doctor before they can purchase.
