Jennifer Flanagan to Speak at Vermont Dept. of Health Youth Cannabis Policy Conference

VS's director of regulatory policy, Jennifer Flanagan, will participate in the upcoming Vermont Department of Health conference, Vermont Youth Cannabis Conference: Foundations in Cannabis Trends, Consequences of Legislation, and Impacts for Youth on September 23, 2021. 

Cannabis Legalization and Youth—The Massachusetts Experience

Jennifer's presentation will focus on the experience of adult-use cannabis legalization in Massachusetts as it pertains to research, public health regulations, implementation and youth cannabis provisions. Highlighted will be the public health provisions in Massachusetts’s adult-use cannabis legalization and the importance of a research agenda and baseline data for the cannabis regulatory body. Also included will be a discussion on ways in which youth cannabis use prevention and diversion was prioritized in Massachusetts.
