Jennifer Cabrera Will Discuss New York’s Cannabis Market at Somos New York Conference

Jennifer Cabrera, partner at cannabis law firm Vicente LLP and National Hispanic Cannabis Council (NHCC) board member, will participate in a cannabis legislative workshop during the Somos New York 2023 Conference in Albany, New York.
Somos is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to addressing the needs of the Hispanic population of New York state. Their conferences, held twice yearly, serve as a platform for legislators, scholars, and business and labor leaders to address various concerns pertinent to this community.
In the legislative workshop “A Green Opportunity? A Deep Dive Into New York’s Adult-Use Cannabis Market,” which is sponsored by Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, Jennifer Cabrera and other panelists from the NHCC will explore the timeline for licenses, the challenges of securing the capital, opportunities for non-retail Hispanic businesses to support the sector, and resources available through the NHCC. The workshop will run from 2:30 – 3:45 p.m. ET on March 11 at the Legislative Office Building in Hearing Room A.
