Cannabis Business in Minnesota: An Entrepreneur’s Guide to the New Industry

May 31, 2023

This is an exciting time for Minnesota cannabis advocates, patients and entrepreneurs! Gov. Tim Walz is expected to sign legislation before the end of May which would make The North Star State the 23rd to legalize cannabis for adult use.

In anticipation of this emerging industry, Vicente LLP is hosting a can’t-miss event for those interested in jumping into this new market. Join us for an afternoon of education and networking with nationally recognized cannabis industry leaders, government officials, business owners and entrepreneurs on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Surly Brewing Co. in Minneapolis.

The cannabis legal and business seminar will feature an impressive speaker lineup, including the chief Senate author of the bill to legalize adult-use cannabis in MN, State Senator Lindsey Port; MN Office of Medical Cannabis Director Chris Tholkes; cannabis business attorneys Brian Vicente, Travis Copenhaver and Jason Tarasek; cannabis economist Andrew Livingston; and cannabis entrepreneurs Scott O’Malley and Natalie Ricks.

Educational programming will include a national cannabis overview, Minnesota cannabis market analysis and policy update, and insights on what you need to know now to start a cannabis business. Stay tuned for a full agenda!
