Overview
Vikrama (Vika) Chandrashekar is counsel at Vicente LLP, specializing in pre-litigation, litigation, and trial work. He assists clients with early case evaluation, settlement negotiations, filing and defending lawsuits, conducting depositions and discovery, and advocating in the courtroom, both within the cannabis and alcohol industries and across a variety of other sectors.
Before joining Vicente, Vika practiced at Moye White LLP, a Denver-based business law firm, and later at Fennemore Craig, P.C., a large national firm. He also brings extensive experience representing creditors in Bankruptcy Courts across the country.
Vika earned dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from the University of Colorado Wolf School of Law. He has tried numerous cases, including jury trials, bench trials, and final hearings before arbitrators.
A frequent contributor to legal publications, Vika has written on a wide range of topics, including the intersection of cannabis and employment law, guidance for the brewing industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, and incentives available to the renewable energy industry under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Work Highlights
- Settled a federal lawsuit against the Town of Telluride on behalf of a condominium association, resulting in a change to the Town's short-term rental ordinances.
- Significant experience litigating municipal land-use and regulatory matters.
- Successfully represented commercial and residential landlords in multiple cases, including full jury verdicts for the client.
- Experience representing cannabis manufacturers and retailers in a variety of issues, ranging from organizational/partnership disputes to employment issues to disputes with vendors and other third parties.
- Significant experience in litigation contract disputes and business torts.
