
Overview
Chad Nelsen is an associate attorney in Vicente LLP's Denver office. He primarily serves on the firm's litigation team.
Before coming to Vicente, Chad began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Demetria Trujillo and the Hon. Lisa Arnolds, both of the Denver District Court. As a law clerk, Chad handled a variety of legal matters, ranging from domestic relations to criminal law and mental health competency. He was recognized as an outstanding oral advocate during law school.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. He taught as a teaching assistant to Prof. Tanya Bartholomew in her legal writing class for first-year law students and was an associate editor for the Denver Law Review. Additionally, he served on the executive boards of the student chapters of the National Lawyers' Guild and the Student Immigrant Law Coalition.
In his free time, Chad enjoys creating music and exploring Colorado's great outdoors. He sings with a local choir, Kantorei, and plays guitar. He loves to camp, backpack, ski, and snowshoe and spend time with his wife, Sara, and their cat, Midge.
