As a technical writer and regulatory analyst at Vicente LLP, Alex assists potential cannabis business licensees in navigating complex state application processes. Using persuasive narrative writing and a thorough understanding of the requirements and expectations of statutory regulations, Alex and the merit licensing team offer Vicente LLP clients their best chance at being issued a competitive cannabis business license.

Alex joined Vicente LLP in 2022 and immediately began supporting licensing efforts in Mississippi and New Jersey. Drawing on almost three years of experience as a technical writer at a large multi-national cannabis company, Alex adapted quickly to familiar content and learned the best practices of cannabis business application writing to become an integral part of the merit licensing team.

Beyond his prior experience in cannabis, Alex offers Vicente LLP and its clients a wealth of experience in the quality assurance and regulatory affairs realm of highly regulated industries such as medical device manufacturing, automotive OEM manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods for dietary supplements.

Alex graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he concentrated his studies on political science and communications. He is a long-time advocate of sensible drug policy and hopes to see meaningful laws enacted focusing on social equity and community reparations to those most disadvantaged by the drug war.
