Jason Tarasek serves as counsel at Vicente LLP and manages the firm's Minnesota office. In 2023, Jason advocated for Minnesota’s passage of an adult-use cannabis bill. Over the course of several months, Jason worked closely with chief bill authors Sen. Lindsey Port, Rep. Zack Stephenson and legislative staff to fine-tune the landmark legislation.

Elliot represents cannabis and hemp clients, including licensed and ancillary businesses, on corporate, regulatory and licensing matters and advises clients, including multi-state operators and publicly traded companies, on the complex legal and business considerations in the highly regulated cannabis and hemp industries. He previously served as U.S. General Counsel for TerrAscend Corp., a leading North American cannabis operator, where he was a key member of the team that negotiated and closed TerrAscend’s acquisition of Gage Growth Corp.

Jason focuses his practice on federal and international policy, impact litigation, corporate and business law, and cannabis regulatory compliance. From advising clients on international policy reforms—especially as it relates to obligations under the three international drug treaties—to drafting contracts and performing market analyses, Jason is a valuable resource for his clients.

Meg Nash focuses her practice on guiding clients through the state licensing application process, land use and zoning requirements, and regulatory and compliance matters across the nation. She is currently working with entrepreneurs in Maryland as the state's cannabis licensing process progresses.
