Associate Attorney
As an associate attorney in the firm's Denver office, Juliana primarily serves clients in the firm’s national Hemp and Cannabinoids practice and also assists the growing Psychedelics and Emerging Therapies group. In her final semester of law school, Juliana worked as a law clerk at Vicente during the implementation of Proposition 122, the Natural Medicine Health Act, where she tackled complex policy issues under the guidance of founding partner Joshua Kappel.

Shawn co-chairs the firm's Hemp and Cannabinoids Department and Federal and International Law Group and is a leader in the Psychedelics & Emerging Therapies Group. Her practice focuses on regulatory compliance, licensing, general business representation, policy reform and strategic guidance to best position businesses for success at the state, national, and international levels.

Joshua is a founding partner of the firm with a passion for helping entrepreneurs and visionaries build human-centric and regenerative companies in the cannabis and psychedelic industries. He also loves helping advocates draft legislation and build sustaining vehicles that will forever influence these emerging industries. Joshua co-authored Colorado's Proposition 122, the Natural Medicine Health Act, a historic state-wide measure that created access to natural psychedelic medicines.

Barred in Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, David advises clients with a wide variety of cannabis regulatory, licensing, permitting, compliance, and land use and zoning matters. He has extensive experience in the Massachusetts market, assisting a range of commercial cannabis clients, from multi-state operators to small family-owned companies, to navigate the evolving regulatory landscapes of the cannabis industry.

Sahar Ayinehsazian is a partner and leading member of the firm's Corporate Department and Banking and Financial Services Access practice group. She guides multi-state operators in the cannabis industry in their expansion into new markets across the U.S. and advises businesses, investors, and other law firms on the nuances of executing corporate transactions involving licensed and ancillary cannabis companies.
